This organisation was founded by a popular African musician, Patrick Okorie, better known as Patoranking. The Patoranking Foundation utilises research, advocacy, and partnerships to provide transformative educational programs and market-ready entrepreneurial skills to outstanding young leaders in Africa.

Over the past six years, the Foundation has invested over $1 million in youth education across the continent. The introduction of a $500,000 tech scholarship in partnership with ALX Africa marks a new phase in the Foundation’s mission.

This innovative programme has been in effect since 30 May 2024, and 40 outstanding candidates will be shortlisted for the opportunity to take part in the top-notch tech training programme.

This candidate will gain the highly sought-after tech skills that top global employers want.

To close the knowledge gap between theory and practical application, candidates will preferably already be active members of local communities and have the chance to be considered for internships at a notable global tech company.

The Patoranking Foundation’s founder, Patrick Okorie, emphasised his zeal for the collaboration by saying that the Patoranking Foundation is dedicated to advancing Africa through education and entrepreneurship. They are also pleased to work with ALX Africa because they share the same dedication to providing tomorrow’s leaders with access to innovative digital skills that are essential for entrepreneurship and future employment.

Empowering African Potential Youth through Education

The Patoranking Foundation has used partnerships to give bright young leaders access to elite universities. In 2020, ten scholars from eight African nations received full scholarships from the Foundation to attend the African Leadership University (ALU) in Rwanda or Mauritius.

In Nigeria’s Ebonyi state, the founder’s home state, 170 young students are currently enrolled on scholarships in five prestigious institutions.

Fred Swaniker, founder of ALX Africa, a well-known entrepreneur and a renowned educator, said that in today’s world of AI and big data, young people need to be prepared for uncertainty and agile and adaptable.

They want to equip tomorrow’s tech disruptors and creative community leaders with the most in-demand hard and soft skills through our partnership with the Patoranking Foundation so they can tackle the issues facing the continent. Patoranking continues to use his influence.

To foster Africa’s business spirit and prepare the continent and its nations for revolutionary influence, the Patoranking Foundation is giving Africa’s young leaders the much-needed digital skills to scale local impact and helpful connections for partnerships by choosing resilient and creative community innovators for the tech scholarships.
