In an effort to foster the development of future business leaders and technological trailblazers, J-Hub Africa, located at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), has teamed up with Zoho Corporation.
As part of the collaboration, Zoho will give out Zoho Wallet Credits worth up to KES 100,000 to entrepreneurs and individuals linked with the hub.
You can use these credits to buy anything from Zoho’s 55+ cloud products for any department in your company, including marketing, sales, accounting, human resources, communication, and collaboration.
Additionally, they have access to Zoho One, the business operating system, which provides a unified platform for all of Zoho’s solutions. Because they are all based on the same technology stack, Zoho products are able to communicate with one another and share context-sensitive data with ease.
In addition, as part of this collaboration, Zoho will teach students in the technology streams at JKUAT how to use cloud-based business technology to their advantage.

The training will cover topics such as Zoho Books, a platform for financial management that helps companies stay compliant with TIMS and VAT regulations, Zoho CRM, a platform for managing sales and marketing, and Zoho Creator, a low code platform that can help them create custom apps for various business needs.
No matter what field they end up working in, the upskilling initiative will equip students with the technological abilities they need.
In order to provide customers with solutions that provide value, it is equally important to grow with local communities, according to Veerakumar Natarajan, Country Head of Zoho Kenya. Collaborating with local and hyper-local bodies, the team actively strives to contribute to overall community progress in Kenya.
Young innovators and early-stage startups are encouraged to adopt technology through the partnership with J-Hub Africa, and students who are about to enter the workforce are given the opportunity to upskill. To make sure local businesses can easily use the solutions while still complying with global and local laws, the team is also investing in localising the products.
In addition to integrating its solutions with Safaricom M-PESA, Zoho has teamed up with Electronic Certification Service Providers (E-CSP) to facilitate the digital signing of legally binding contracts for local businesses.
Taking place at the Hyatt Regency in Nairobi, the announcements were made during Zoholics Kenya, the company’s annual user conference.

With the formal opening of a new office in Nairobi last year, Zoho Corporation increased its presence in the East African market. In addition to establishing a physical presence in the country, Zoho plans to provide solution training to local customers.
In addition to opening an office in Nairobi, Zoho announced a partnership with Strathmore Business School’s Institute for Small Business Initiatives (ISBI). ISBI primarily assists Kenyan entrepreneurs running small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) with growing their companies, improving efficiency, and gaining a competitive advantage.
By partnering with ISBO, Zoho hoped to provide local SMEs with cutting-edge enterprise technology, allowing them to digitalize their operations. The partnership includes providing all SMEs associated with ISBI with access to Zoho One, a suite of 50+ business applications that integrates various business processes such as marketing, sales, customer relationship management (CRM), finance, human resources, project management, collaboration, and more.
