WhatsApp is going to add more features to its Chat Lock tool so that all devices that are linked can stay connected.
With this update, if you lock a chat on your phone, it will stay locked on WhatsApp for the web and Windows as well. It differs from how things work now, where non-mobile platforms are treated as separate channels.
WABetaInfo found the information in the latest Android beta.
In November, Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp, announced that a Secret Code would be added to the app to make it safer and more private. Soon, you’ll need the code to get to your chat logs on your connected devices. The code can be made up of numbers, letters, special characters, or even emojis to make it more unique.

It can be called an update because it gives people more confidence and safety.
If you need to, you can quickly lock your chats on any device, which makes WhatsApp safer and saves you the trouble of having to do things again when you switch from your phone to your computer.
The users will be excited to have this new tool, but it’s not yet ready. It is still being worked on, and there is no set date for when it will be available, but it shouldn’t be long before it comes out on Android. Even though iOS wasn’t mentioned, it doesn’t look like iPhones would be left behind.
Block and roll
You can now delete spam or phishing attempts from WhatsApp, and you can do it right from your phone’s lock screen, which is very convenient.
There will now be notifications with both the Reply and Block options.
Meta chose to share the information on the official WhatsApp channel, so people who weren’t following that channel weren’t aware of this helpful tool.
As we said, the block option will first be available on Android, where the change is being sent out. Right now, there’s been no talk or sign that the tool will be coming to iOS, but Meta should soon have more details.
