SeamlessHR, a provider of cloud-hosted human resources and payroll software, has partnered with Monnify by Moniepoint, a payment platform created particularly for Nigerian businesses, to transform payroll management.
Because of this collaboration, Nigerian businesses will be able to use Monnify to make it easier to submit payroll remittances and pay employees’ salaries.
Users of SeamlessHR can now choose between using Flutterwave as their payment processor for disbursing salaries and pensions on SeamlessPayroll or switching to Monnify.
According to one of SeamlessHR’s co-founders, Deji ‘Lana, the young company is well on its way to supporting Nigerian businesses in “paying their people on time.” Given the recent challenges that individuals and businesses in Nigeria have had in executing transactions and acquiring access to monies.

Why SeamlessHR made the Decision
SeamlessHR made the decision to provide the customers with more options to directly disburse salaries through SeamlessPayroll, which will assist them in paying their employees on time. This will help them meet their obligations to their employees.
In his words; “With the recent challenges faced in Nigeria by individuals and businesses in smoothly processing transactions and accessing funds, we decided to offer our customers more options to directly disburse salaries on SeamlessPayroll, helping them pay their people on time,”
He went on to explain that the startup’s mission is to assist companies located all over Africa in optimizing their many different business operations, including the method by which they compensate their employees.
Because payroll management and salary distribution are critical areas of business management that can greatly influence employee experience, the collaboration between Moniepoint and SeamlessHR is particularly advantageous to businesses. This is due to the fact that these aspects of business management are among the most important.
Over sixty percent of workers in African countries responded to a study that was carried out by the African Development Bank in 2014, and they claimed that their wages were either paid late or irregularly. This was in part due to the absence of payroll systems.
“Beyond paying employees well, it’s equally important to pay them on time. Staff depend on their salaries to fund their lifestyles, so if something affects that, it would definitely affect their ability to show up productively at work,” Lana remarked.
