MyHealth Africa, a leading digital healthcare provider in Kenya, has revealed that it will merge with International Medical Treatment Limited, another Kenyan health company.
As a result of the merger, both businesses have started a new platform called My 1 Health to expand into other markets.
Ryan Marincowitz, the company’s founder and CEO, said at its last fundraising event in December 2022 that the company wants to expand its services to the Middle East and South Asia and give patients easier access to local and foreign hospitals and medical professionals.

MyHealth Africa wants to use the money to keep growing quickly across Africa. In 2023, we also want to expand into the Middle East and South Asia, which are already our second and third biggest markets, respectively.
To move forward with this plan, MyHealth Africa, which has mostly only worked in its home country of Kenya, needed a health company with a more global view and reach. International Medical Treatment (IMT) Limited helps with this. IMT is also based in Kenya and says it is in the medical tourism business.

The company also said that its plan to grow is in full swing now that its services are up and running in Ethiopia and South Sudan. At the launch event, which was held at the My 1Health Headquarters in Nairobi, the CEO said that this was a big step towards the company’s goal of making it easier for people in the region to get access to specific health services.
“By opening new offices in these countries, we’re expanding our reach and getting closer to changing the way that thousands of patients get specialised health care,” he said.
The company also wants to keep growing and has said that it will spread into the Middle East and South Asia by the end of this year. My1Health says it has helped almost 35,000 people around the world get access to specialized health care services.
