Kólé introduces software solutions to African construction

Kólé, a Nigeria-owned trailblazing startup, is offering software solutions to Nigerians at home and abroad to enable them to overcome the obstacles to owning a house in their home country. Some obstacles include outdated methods of construction management and a lack of industry transparency.

Kólé is unwavering in its conviction that technology possesses the potential to radically alter the architectural environment of Africa. Because of this, the construction management software that Kólé offers is intended to simplify and enhance each and every one of the stages of the building process.

The company gives people in Africa the ability to start their own construction projects, overcome traditional obstacles, and embrace digital transformation. Kólé’s revolutionary software offers users a single platform that enables them to plan, execute, and deliver construction projects in Africa. This platform includes a full project scheduling assistant, precise budgeting, and seamless communication.

“There is immense potential for technology to transform the construction sector. And with our cutting-edge digital solution, we are changing how construction projects are executed to enable Africans at home and in the diaspora to build faster, smarter, better,” said Yemi Jegede, one of the co-founders.

The impact Kólé is making

The drive to streamline the building process is at the heart of Kólé’s long-term strategy for the company, by switching out antiquated paper-based methods for modern, user-friendly digital alternatives. Kólé gives construction professionals the ability to shorten their operations and improve the effectiveness of their collaboration.

The user-friendly interface of the startup minimises the need for complex manual activities, which in turn reduces the likelihood of errors made by humans and increases total productivity. With the help of the Kólé app, construction project teams and owners are able to allocate resources more effectively, control timeframes more precisely, and make decisions that are driven by data to optimise project outcomes.

The fact that Kólé puts its customers in charge of product creation is what separates it from the competition. They play an active role in interacting with their customers, which helps cultivate an environment of open communication in which ideas can flourish, and practical problems can be solved. Kólé guarantees that its software continues to develop to suit the shifting requirements and preferences of its users by actively seeking out feedback from those who use the platform and taking that feedback into consideration.

Because of this devotion, they remain at the forefront of construction management technology, creating individualised solutions that contribute to the change of the entire sector.

The inspiration for Kólé

Yemi Jegede and Muyiwa Oyinlola, the visionary co-founders of Kólé, first met while they were both pursuing their doctoral degrees at the University of Warwick. They soon discovered that they had a shared interest in enhancing the quality of the building business in Africa. They worked together on a number of projects that were targeted at achieving sustainable development in Africa.

One of these projects involved working with partners throughout the whole building supply chain to design environmentally friendly housing solutions. On the other hand, they quickly came to the conclusion that the conventional approaches to planning and managing construction projects made it difficult to successfully supervise building projects.

Yemi and Muyiwa were also aware of the fact that many Africans living in the diaspora were reluctant to build in their home countries owing to the fear of becoming a victim of fraud and the lack of access to dependable equipment that would allow them to successfully manage their construction projects.

They saw a compelling need for a solution that would enable Africans, both at home and abroad, to engage in construction projects with confidence, regardless of their location, and at the same time ensure transparency and accountability throughout the entire process. Motivated by this, they decided to launch a business with the goal of ushering in a revolutionary age inside the African construction sector.

“We saw the huge gap in the market for innovative and sustainable construction solutions, and we were determined to fill that gap by leveraging technology to help Africans effortlessly oversee their construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion from anywhere across the globe,” Muyiwa shared.

With Kólé by its side as a reliable business partner, the building sector in Africa is on the verge of reaching its full potential and kicking off a new age of economic expansion and advancement.
