A week after announcing his exit as the Chief Operating Officer of MTN Nigeria, Hassan Jaber has been appointed as the new CEO of AXIAN Telecom, replacing Stéphane Oudin.
Hassan Jaber will take over as CEO on August 19, 2024, from Stéphane Oudin, who will now serve as a board member and advisor to the chairman of AXIAN Telecom’s operating companies. Stéphane will continue to assist AXIAN’s outstanding expansion and improve the governance of the Group and its operational companies.

New CEO accepts appointment with enthusiasm
Hassan Jaber commented on his new role as CEO of AXIAN Telecom, “I am excited for this new chapter and eager to leverage my extensive knowledge and experience to elevate AXIAN Telecom to new heights.

Hassan will oversee the telecom operations group of companies, providing strategic direction, cultivating an excellence culture, and generating value for stakeholders and customers. He has 29 years of expertise in the telecom and digital sectors.
He will collaborate closely with the skilled teams at AXIAN Telecom in all of its markets to ensure they continue to do an excellent job and accomplish the group’s goals.

Stéphane Oudin given new role

About Hassan Jaber
Hassan held several executive leadership roles with the MTN Group, concentrating on Africa and the Middle East, before joining AXIAN Telecom. He held CEO positions in Guinea, Sudan, and Afghanistan before most recently joining MTN Nigeria as COO.
Hassan graduated from Saint Joseph University in Beirut with a bachelor’s degree in business computers and from HEC Business School in Paris with an executive master’s degree in business administration (EMBA). He also graduated from INSEAD, Paris’s International Executive Program.
