In the current round of its Drive for a Prize campaign, Bolt, one of the most popular ride-hailing apps, will give up to N50 million to drivers who have been with the company for a long time. The company said this is another way to show respect for good service.
The programme starts in 2020 and is for new and current drivers in the company’s markets nationwide. During the eight weeks of the campaign, drivers from all over the country can win different gifts.
The Drive for a Prize campaign, which is now in its fourth year, is a driver support programme. Its goal is to recognise the best drivers for an e-hailing company by giving them prizes. These gifts include things like brand-new TVs and cell phones, among others.

Yahaya Mohammed, the country manager for Bolt Nigeria, said that the effort aligns with the company’s commitment to drivers’ well-being. He said that the effort was a chance for the company to show its drivers, who are very important to its business, how much it appreciates them.
“At Bolt, we know that our drivers are essential to the growth of our brand in Nigeria, and we don’t take their hard work and dedication for granted. “We’re happy to see drivers get extra money on top of what they already make,” he said.
How Bolt’s campaign prize drive would work
Bolt says that since it started in 2020, it has given cars that took part several great prizes worth more than N50,000,000. The company has always been a leader in Nigeria’s ride-hailing industry and is a model for the rest because it focuses on providing exemplary service and developing new ideas.
The programme, which is now in its fourth year, started in 20. It will last for 8 weeks, during which cars can earn points.
Each week, the winner will be the driver who earns the most points. To get them started, bonus points will be given to new drivers.
The company said that over the years, drivers from twelve cities have taken part in the effort significantly. Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Benin, Kano, Jos, Uyo, Enugu, Ibadan, Akure, and Owerri are all part of this group.
“The ‘Drive for a Prize’ contest is just one way that Bolt thanks and rewards drivers for their hard work in serving riders, and we hope that this will encourage drivers to keep giving riders the best service possible,” said Yahaya Mohammed, the Country Manager.
