Nigerian revenue-collection agency, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has integrated Flutterwave into its e-tax platform, TaxPro Max in order to make tax payments simpler, faster and seamless for Nigerians. This development was revealed by Flutterwave on Thursday.
This payment solution is accessible to Nigerians in all walks of life such as accountants, small business owners, big corporations and people who want to manage their personal taxes.
Part of the statement reads, “As a responsible organisation, we recognise the crucial role taxes play in enabling Nigeria to meet its obligations to its citizens. We also know that paying them can sometimes be time-consuming. That’s why the FIRS has integrated our payment solutions into their tax payment system to bring you a smooth, secure, and quick way to handle tax payments online and offline.”
With Flutterwave, Nigerians at home and in the diaspora can now conveniently pay their taxes via bank transfers and debit/credit cards, which they are accustomed to.

How to pay your taxes with Flutterwave
To pay your taxes to the FIRS via Flutterwave, follow these steps:
Users can sign in to their account by going to the FIRS TaxPro Max portal.
Register on the portal if you don’t already have one.
Select the tax type you wish to pay, such as Value-Added Tax (VAT), Company Income Tax (CIT), or Withholding Tax (WHT).
Click “Proceed” after adding the tax period and uploading the tax schedule in Microsoft Excel format (a template is available on the website).
A Payment Reference Number (PRN) will be generated if you select Flutterwave as your payment gateway.
Using Flutterwave, users have the option to “Pay Online” or “Pay At Bank.”
Take the produced printout to any Nigerian commercial bank to finish the payment if you select “Pay At Bank.”
Users will be taken to the Flutterwave Checkout page to choose their payment option (bank transfer or debit/credit card) if they select “Pay Online.”
Verify the information and finish the payment.
A receipt and an immediate confirmation will be sent to you via email.
