Today, the Reliance Industries subsidiary Jio Platforms and the American technology firm Meta announced the debut of an end-to-end purchasing experience on WhatsApp that allows users to shop from JioMart within a WhatsApp chat.
Users in India can explore the JioMart grocery catalogue, add goods to their shopping carts, and finish their purchases without ever leaving a WhatsApp conversation, thanks to JioMart on WhatsApp.

In a Facebook post, Meta’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote, “Excited to announce our relationship with JioMart in India. People can now purchase groceries from JioMart directly in a chat, our first-ever end-to-end purchasing experience on WhatsApp. Business messaging is gaining a lot of traction, and in the next years, chat-based interactions like this will predominate in how people and businesses communicate.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, stated, “Mark and I shared a vision of bringing more people and businesses online and creating truly innovative solutions that will add convenience to the daily lives of every Indian.” Jio platforms and Meta announced their partnership in 2020.
With the JioMart on WhatsApp experience, people can shop easily and conveniently while also changing how millions of companies communicate with their customers around the nation.
