WhatsApp has been adding updates for users, and now it is releasing a new Do Not Disturb API for Missed Calls in the WhatsApp iOS Beta version, which will provide more information about WhatsApp audio missed calls.
WhatsApp is not just a messaging network but also a business tool with many functions, such as auto-respond and high-quality audio calls, which many average users also use.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has begun supporting a new application programming interface (API) for iOS 15, which would inform users if they have missed incoming WhatsApp calls as a result of the do not disturb service. To put it more simply, WhatsApp for iOS can now identify whether the DND service is on and will warn users if it does.
More About the Do Not Disturb API Feature
The audio call feature of WhatsApp is making progress and has now taken another step forward. WhatsApp is working on a feature that would let users know when they have missed a call due to the Do Not Disturb option. Standard phone systems do not provide this information.
WABetainfo explained that “when you receive a WhatsApp call and your notifications are turned off because they do not disturb mode is enabled, there will be a new label available right within the call history: it will indicate that you missed the call since it has been silenced by the do not disturb mode.”
There will be a new tag added to the call in your call history, as seen in the picture above, which will show you missed calls while your smartphone was set to Do Not Disturb mode.
For now, this new tag will only operate in Do Not Disturb mode and indicate, “Silenced by Do Not Disturb.”
Available Devices For This New Feature
For the time being, the functionality is only accessible in the WhatsApp beta on iOS 15. At this point, there’s no word on whether the functionality will be rolled out to other platforms, such as Android or Desktop.
