Slack unveils three AI tools to transform the work experience

Slack, the popular messaging software, has recently announced that it was collaborating with OpenAI to provide its users with access to ChatGPT.

Rob Seaman, the company’s product manager, announced the exciting news to attendees at the Salesforce World Tour event in New York City.

The company is improving its platform by putting AI at the heart of how its consumers engage with it. Users will find it simple to communicate with one another, obtain information, and build up workflows.

If you’re not sure what to say to a coworker over Slack the next time, ChatGPT may be able to assist you.

With this new advancement, it will no longer be limited to operating as a communication platform. Businesses may now access enterprise systems directly, saving time switching between jobs. We will be able to work and communicate in more productive and efficient ways than ever before due to AI.

While the announcement of its latest feature integration into OpenAI was made on May 4th, 2023, the majority of the functionalities are not yet available.

Artificial intelligence is being taken very seriously by technology companies. Since ChatGPT has become the most popular AI chatbot, other tech behemoths such as Microsoft and Samsung are incorporating AI into their brand identities.

Slack GPT: Generative AI embedded inside Slack

Rob Seaman said that companies use communication platforms to send messages, so it already has a lot of institutional information. This information includes texts, files, and clips that are shared every day, which makes it a great starting point for building AI models.

Firstly, the platform will bring AI natively into the user experience with Slack GPT. Customers will be able to work faster, connect better, and learn more quickly due to this integration. For example, AI-powered recaps of conversations and writing help for compositions will be available right away.

“We think that Slack has a unique advantage when it comes to creative AI. A lot of the institutional knowledge about every topic, team, work item, and project is already in Slack through the messages, files, and clips that are shared every day,” he said.

“To start, Slack is going to build AI right into the user experience with SlackGPT to help customers work faster, interact better, learn faster, etc.” “And an example of this is AI-powered reports of conversations and writing help for compositions that will be directly available in Slack,” he said.

    Artificial intelligence-generated content

AI-made material for its connected apps is another feature. This might make it easier for businesses to make material for Slack Canvas, which is a useful tool. Even though it might be easy to write a simple message, this feature will help a lot when it comes to making automated messages that are part of a process.

Developers can also use AI integration and incorporate it into their procedures. This will let them connect to outside apps and large language models so they can make custom experiences with generative AI.

“The company just made its updated developer experience available to everyone last week,” says Seaman. This should make it easier to add generative AI to the platform in a way that fits your needs.

“So this gives us the foundation to give users choice and flexibility to bring AI into their work in their business whenever they’re ready and however they like. We have 2600 apps in the ecosystem right now, including many of the top LLMs, and we’re already seeing a lot of customers choose to add creative AI to Slack on their own.

EinsteinGPT, which is Salesforce’s version of generative AI and was announced in March, is the third part of Slack’s AI connection. This tool will let employees directly ask questions about Salesforce content in Slack, such as which users are most likely to leave or which accounts are most likely to buy.

“Slack is becoming Salesforce’s conversational interface. That’s bringing EinsteinGPT-powered insights from Salesforce’s real-time customer data into Slack to enrich every team’s understanding of the customer,” Rob said.

Developers can build unique integrations with a variety of LLMs, but recently, customers will be able to use the Workflow Builder with SlackGPT AI connectors to easily add ChatGPT or Claude to a workflow or make their own connectors.

  • How to cope with changing workplace and the new digital age

How to cope with changing workplace and the new digital age

Work has always changed and grown in tandem with new technologies and significant shifts in consumer purchasing habits.

Did you know that in Victorian Britain, factory workers were paid to tap on their windows to inspire them? They were known as “knocker-uppers” and were popular until alarm clocks rendered them obsolete.

You may have read in recent months that as artificial intelligence (AI) solutions like ChatGPT gain popularity, timely engineering will become a significant and vital professional skill.

Some experts believe that the field, which boils down to providing the best information possible to AI tools, is so important that it could become a career path in and of itself.

However, this is only one example of how work is changing. If you truly want to be prepared for the future, you should have a far broader perspective. And you could do a lot worse than keeping a close eye on the digital marketing sector on this front.

    An adaptable workspace sector

Digital marketing has always kept up with big changes in technology and society. From spot ads on websites to new products on social media and streaming platforms, each change has forced people in the industry to learn new skills so they can better serve their clients.

It’s not likely that will change soon, either. LinkedIn says that “Digital Marketing Specialist” is one of the top 10 most-wanted jobs, with more than 860,000 job openings. The fact that social media, content planning, SEO, and analytics are the most sought-after skills in digital marketing shows how broad the field has become

Even those areas of expertise change. Before 2016, when Facebook and Twitter were well established, no one knew how to market on TikTok

Today, the platform has more than a billion users and is an increasingly important part of any organization’s digital marketing strategy. As a result, people in digital marketing have had to build up the skills necessary to market on the platform.

Social media sites’ new products are the same. Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, and Spotify appear different. It’s also vital to realize that TikTok’s performance is unrelated to Twitter’s. Few people know a lot about all platforms. To succeed in digital marketing, you must constantly learn and adapt.

These traits are also necessary in a fast-changing workplace.

    Acquiring the right skills

How should you go about getting the skills you need to be successful in digital marketing and other similar fields?

Without a doubt, getting a formal certification can be very helpful, especially in the beginning stages of a pursuit.

Self-exploration is crucial after those basics. Be curious. Learning requires desire. It’s mandatory. By certification on all systems (typically free). Learn Google Adwords, Instagram marketing, and as many additional products as possible.

It won’t take long to get there. Some people can get there in as little as six months. Practice more. Market yourself to find a client. In a fast-changing environment, results matter more than experience.

Digital marketing has always had this. In general, work is growing more like that. If you want to be ready for the future, look to an industry that has adapted well to epoch-shifting developments.

    AI: Alibaba launches ChatGPT rival

Alibaba, a Chinese tech company, has said it wants to release a product similar to ChatGPT called Tongyi Qianwen. This product will use artificial intelligence (AI) and will be similar to ChatGPT.

Its cloud computing division says that it will add the chatbot to all of Alibaba’s businesses in the “near future,” but it didn’t say when.

Technology firms from all around the world have recently revealed their own “generative AI chatbots” in recent months.

Alibaba stated earlier this year that it was developing a ChatGPT firm.

Tongyi Qianwen means “asking a thousand questions to find an answer,” but Alibaba hasn’t given an English translation of the name.

“We are at a technological turning point because of generative AI and cloud computing,” Alibaba’s chairman and CEO Daniel Zhang said when Tongyi Qianwen was released.

Tongyi Qianwen, which can operate in both Chinese and English, will initially be added to DingTalk, Alibaba’s office messaging app.

The company stated that it would carry out a variety of activities, including recording meeting interactions into notes, composing emails, and creating business proposals.

Even though this is a new project for Alibaba, its cloud unit plans to let clients use the AI model Tongyi Qianwen to build their own language models. Soon, users will be able to sign up.

    Alibaba’s rejection of AI regulation

People all around the world are aware that AI tools frequently resolve problems and considerably simplify our work, but many of them are pessimistic about the future and want to regulate the field of generative AI technology.

In the past few years, there have been a lot of complaints about the social consequences, possible abuses, cyberattacks, and dangers in the social dynamics of the workplace that could lead to the loss of intellectual property.

The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has reportedly prepared rules to regulate the generative AI sector to reduce the risks associated with cutting-edge technology. AI content generation, especially on sensitive issues, must comply with China’s data security and personal information protection rules.

Companies must submit security assessments to regulators before launching products. This may slow growth, but it would also prevent foreign firms from offering AI services in the country, benefiting local firms.

Countries have delayed, limited, or stopped AI trends before. Italy briefly banned ChatGPT last month. North Korea restricts internet use, including the AI chatbot. This group includes Iran, Syria, and Cuba.

Montpellier banned ChatGPT for city employees as a precaution. The UK’s independent data regulator wants to “encourage” AI but “challenge” corporations that violate data protection laws.

A long list of well-known technologists, businesspeople, and researchers, including Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak, have also asked AI labs to stop working on active AI systems right away to avoid risks.

ChatGPT was developed and tested on November 30, 2022. Its thorough and well-reasoned solutions in many fields gained recognition. Nonetheless, its uneven factual use is a major issue. OpenAI was valued at $29 billion in 2023 after ChatGPT.

ChatGPT’s first version was based on GPT-3.5. On March 14, 2023, a version based on GPT-4, the newest OpenAI model, came out and is only available to paid subscribers for a limited time.

  • ChatGPT predicts DigiToads’ stock market success

ChatGPT predicts DigiToads’ stock market success

It might be difficult to predict which initiatives will be successful throughout the course of their respective lifespans in the world of virtual currency. DigiToads, which is based in India, on the other hand, is a project that has piqued the interest of numerous investors (TOADS).

This meme coin has gained traction in recent months, and ChatGPT predicts that it will outperform the markets overall by 2023.

    DigiToads generates passive income

What genuinely distinguishes DigiToads from its competitors, however, is the company’s commitment to rewarding the TOADS holder community. TOADS token holders are eligible for monthly prize pool awards, and 10% of all cash raised will be paid as airdrops to TOADS token holders. Furthermore, 2% of each completed TOADS transaction is added to the staking pool. This ensures that they may always reward members of their DigiToad community.

Holders of NFTs who have decided to stake their NFTs at predefined intervals are then granted access to the staking pool. When an NFT is staked for a longer period of time, the holder earns more rewards. In addition, there will be monthly trade competitions on the chain, with the winner receiving a Platinum Toad as their prize.

The tournaments will be held over the course of a year, resulting in a total of twelve Platinum Toads up for grabs.

Platinum Toad owners have remote access to one-twelfth of the TOADS treasury, which can be utilised to trade things.

This ensures that the most successful community merchants inside the ecosystem manage the treasury, allowing the community to maintain control of the situation.

If you are one of the 12 people trading the treasury with a Platinum Toad, you will earn 10% of any trading profits you generate for the treasury.

Payment will be paid to you regardless of whether you make or lose money.

Are DigiToads the Way of the Future?

Meme coins and NFT staking are both elements of the DigiToads platform, which combines the two. It stands out from other meme coins thanks to its one-of-a-kind concept, which resulted in a highly engaging experience for users. The people who are working behind the scenes on DigiToads are seasoned engineers and crypto aficionados who are enthusiastic about their mission to build a platform that is both entertaining and practical. They have developed a robust community of backers and fans who are enthusiastic about the possibilities offered by the platform.

The fact that DigiToads can be used in the real world is one of the primary reasons why it stands out among other meme coins. Users are now able to earn TOADS, the platform’s native cryptocurrency, by staking their NFTs thanks to the integration of NFT staking that DigiToads has implemented into its platform. This creates a one-of-a-kind incentive for users to collect and keep NFTs rather than simply buying and selling them for profit. Specifically, this incentive encourages users to keep NFTs in their possession.

The forecast that ChatGPT has for DigiToads

All of these one-of-a-kind characteristics combine to make DigiToads an appealing investment opportunity for people who are interested in getting involved in the cryptocurrency industry. So what does the prognosis made by ChatGPT reveal about the possibilities offered by DigiToads?

The research conducted by ChatGPT indicates that DigiToads will have a better performance than the markets in 2023. This forecast is founded on a variety of considerations, such as the expertise of the group working on the project, the originality of the idea to combine meme coins and NFT staking, and the size and tenacity of the community of DigiToads backers and enthusiasts that the company has cultivated.

According to ChatGPT’s forecast, DigiToads will experience significant growth in the years to come, which will result in the price of TOADS increasing by more than 100 times. It is anticipated that the increasing use of cryptocurrencies, the growing popularity of meme coins, and the distinctive value proposition that DigiToads provides will fuel this growth.

  • ChatGPT Will Eliminate Jobs, OpenAI CEO Warns

ChatGPT Will Eliminate Jobs, OpenAI CEO Warns

CEO of the OpenAI corporation, Sam Altman, has issued a warning regarding the threat posed by artificial intelligence (AI).

The American businessman speaking in a televised interview on Thursday, claimed these AI threats are genuine and will transform civilization.

In order to prevent possible harmful effects on humanity, Altman, whose business created the popular AI chatbot ChatGPT, underlined the necessity for regulators and society to be actively involved in the technology.

He called attention to the rapid growth of AI technology which he said could lead to widespread misinformation campaigns.

“We’ve got to be careful here. I think people should be happy that we are a little bit scared of this. I’m particularly worried that these models could be used for large-scale disinformation. Now that they’re getting better at writing computer code, they could be used for offensive cyber-attacks,” Altman said.

Yet, he pointed out that despite any potential risks, AI technology may end up being the best thing that people have ever created. Once his business OpenAI launched the most recent iteration of its language AI model GPT-4, less than four months after the initial version was released and quickly became the fastest-growing consumer application in history, Altman began to warm up to the technology.

He claimed in an interview that even if the new version wasn’t perfect, it passed the US bar examinations with a score of 90% and nearly aced the SAT maths test for high school. In most programming languages, it could also write computer code. Additionally, he noted that the huge multimodal model’s expanded general knowledge and problem-solving skills enable it to resolve complex issues with greater precision.

    Elon Musk’s Concerns About AI

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and Twitter, has often warned about the risks associated with artificial intelligence in relation to other issues. Speaking at a tech conference in 2018, Elon Musk said that the development of superintelligence needs to be regulated and that AGI, or artificial general intelligence, is more hazardous than nuclear weapons.

Musk is concerned that as AI develops, humans won’t be able to control it securely.

In December of last year, Musk tweeted: “there is no regulatory oversight of AI, which is a major problem. I’ve been calling for AI safety regulation for over a decade!” He also expressed alarm over Microsoft’s decision to dissolve its ethics supervision group, which is responsible for hosting ChatGPT on its Bing search engine.

The voices cautioning against the potential risks of artificial intelligence have gotten louder as it spreads more quickly. The risks posed by artificial intelligence have long been a topic of discussion in the computer industry. Some of the major risks posed by AI have been identified as the automation of jobs, the proliferation of false information, and a deadly arms race in AI-powered weapons.

    Using ChatGPT Will Remove Jobs

Sam Altman acknowledged that the ChatGPT could eliminate a large number of employments from the market. On Thursday, he said that he was a little bit terrified of the AI-powered chatbot in an interview with ABC News.

Since its late-year launch, ChatGPT has gained popularity among businesses. Microsoft, for example, has incorporated the model AI language into some of its services. This is due to the AI’s effectiveness in providing context for queries that is human-like.

The ChatGPT3 has gained widespread popularity thanks to its ability to complete challenging tests, write code, and write essays. Less than three months after its release, it has amassed more than 100 million users.

OpenAI announced the release of GPT4 earlier this week, claiming it demonstrates intelligence on par with that of humans. The company asserted that the updated version could more accurately tackle challenging situations, a fact that many users who have tried it attest to.

OpenAI plans premium, paid version of ChatGPT for businesses

“GPT-4 is more creative and collaborative than ever before. It can generate, edit, and iterate with users on creative and technical writing tasks, such as composing songs, writing screenplays, or learning a user’s writing style,” the company said.

The increased efficiency of GPT4 has increased worries that ChatGPT would lead to a significant loss in employment.

According to him, AI will be the best technology humanity has yet created in terms of its impact on our lives, the potential for improvement, and upside.

According to OpenAI, GPT-4 surpasses ChatGPT by scoring in higher approximate percentiles among test-takers.

According to Altman, it can pass the bar test for lawyers and achieve a 5 on numerous AP examinations.

The executive from OpenAI is not the only one who has voiced concern over artificial intelligence’s potential. Elon Musk, the founder of OpenAI and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has warned that it is one of the greatest threats to civilization and has urged the government to intervene with regulation.

According to Altman, who also said that regulators and society should be involved in ChatGPT’s implementation, he has a regular touch with government representatives. The government’s engagement is believed to aid in addressing issues raised by its use.

Last month, the 37-year-old advocated for regulation in a number of tweets. He cautioned that humanity would need time to adapt to anything of this magnitude and that artificial intelligence may not be  “that far from potentially scary” in the future.

  • OpenAI introduces ChatGPT, Whisper APIs

    OpenAI introduces ChatGPT, Whisper APIs

OpenAI has announced that, through the recently introduced Whisper API, it is now enabling third-party developers to include ChatGPT in their products and services. Using this tool will be far less expensive than using its current language models.

The company released the open-source Whisper speech-to-text model in September 2022. The Whisper API is a hosted version of that model. According to OpenAI, Whisper is an artificial speech recognition system that costs $0.006 per minute and enables large-scale transcription in a number of languages. It accepts files in a variety of formats, including M4A, MP3, MP4, MPEG, MPGA, WAV, and WEBM.

Whisper appears to be exceptional thanks to training on 680,000 hours of multilingual and “multitask” data gathered from the web, despite competitor tech companies like Google, Amazon, and Meta having created high-quality speech recognition algorithms. Greg Brockman, the president and chairman of OpenAI, claims that this gives it improved recognition capabilities, such as the ability to recognize unusual accents, background noise, and technical jargon.

According to Brockman, the developer ecosystem did not actually build around the model we released. “The Whisper API is the same huge model that is available as open source, but we’ve optimized it to the maximum degree.” It’s incredibly convenient and much, much faster.

    Brockman viewpoint

Regarding Brockman’s remark, businesses have restrictions when using voice transcription technology. The main obstacles to adopting tech like tech-to-speech are accuracy, accent- or dialect-related recognition issues, and costs, according to a 2020 Statista survey.

One of Whisper’s limitations is “next-word prediction.” This is due to the system’s extensive data training. However, OpenAI warns that Whisper may contain non-said words in its transcriptions, possibly because it is simultaneously attempting to predict the next spoken word and transcribe the audio recording.

In addition, Whisper’s performance varies by language, with speakers of less-represented languages in the training set having a higher mistake rate.

According to a 2020 Stanford study, Amazon, Apple, Google, IBM, and Microsoft’s systems generated 19% fewer errors with white users than black ones.

    OpenAI’s Whisper API strategy

OpenAI anticipates enhancing existing software, services, tools, and solutions with Whisper’s transcription capabilities. The Whisper API is currently used by the AI-powered language learning app Speak to offer a brand-new virtual speaking partner within the app.

In addition, OpenAI’s entry into the speech-to-text business could be quite lucrative. The potential market value is projected to reach $5.4 billion by 2026, up from $2.2 billion in 2021.

Brockman stated, “Our vision is to become an all-encompassing intellect.” “We want to be able to very flexibly accept whatever type of data you have and whatever type of work you’re attempting to complete in order to multiply your focus.”

Results showed that 52.3% of the voters chose the free plan, while 16.7% preferred the professional plan. However, 31% of the users were apparently there to observe as they chose the third option, which was a popcorn emoji.

Prior to ChatCPT’s subscription update, there have been speculations in recent days about whether or not the AI bot would continue to be free for users.

    Why ChatGPT?

ChatGPT was created by one of the leading artificial intelligence research laboratories in the world, OpenAI, which is a significant leap in natural language processing and image generation.

When the AI program was launched, the platform hit one million users in 5 days, a feat which took the social networking site Facebook months to achieve. However, it didn’t topple Instagram’s Android app, which was launched in April 2012 and crossed one million registrations on Android in just 24 hours.

Because of the revolutionary conversational AI chatbot abilities, ChatGPT is still one of the buzzwords in late 2022, and it will be in 2023, with thousands of articles on “How to use ChatGPT” content gradually increasing on search engine results pages.

This new subscription move by OpenAI will result in users turning to other free text-generating programs with far less buzz than ChatGPT, as many of its users are unhappy about the company’s monetization decision.

However, the free version of ChatGPT has been tried, and it still works excellently, though it experienced some lagging in the speed at which the AI bot generated a response to the question.

ChatGPT Users’ Concerns Could Be Google’s Breath Of Fresh Air

Users’ possible attention shift from ChatGPT due to subscription concerns would be great news for Google. This is because Google has transcended being just a search engine to becoming the world’s preferred entry point to the internet. Google is pretty much more than a noun; it is now used as a verb in sentences, with phrases like “Google it.”

So, with talks around the world on whether or not ChatGPT could one day replace Google’s search engine, there is a good enough reason for the global search engine to be worried.

In December 2022, Google issued a “code red” over the growth of the AI bot ChatGPT, The New York Times reported. The report highlighted that Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, instructed some teams to focus on building out AI products. The move comes as talks abound over whether ChatGPT could one day replace Google’s search engine.

In the coming months, we’ll get to see how the world adjusts to ChatGPT’s subscription plans and how they will affect its competitors.

OpenAI plans premium, paid version of ChatGPT for businesses

OpenAI has hinted that it may soon release a premium, paid version of the well-known chatbot, ChatGPT, for business users.

ChatGPT is a conversational dialogue model that has been trained by machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to recognize and respond to natural human language.

A free service utilizing the AI chatbot was made available in November 2022. According to sources, OpenAI is reportedly already examining several revenue models for ChatGPT services.

OpenAI has developed a Google Form that serves as a waiting list for the service for interested people. As an experimental program, OpenAI states that they do not currently have any plans to make paid professional access publicly available.

    How do OpenAI plans work?

The waitlist form, intended for business usage, already describes the advantages consumers have access to with the premium edition. This includes unlimited texts, no throttling, and no blackout (unavailability).

Additionally, according to OpenAI, individuals chosen will be required to pilot ChatGPT Professional and set up a payment procedure after completing the waitlist form. There are a few inquiries regarding how much consumers are prepared to pay for the ChatGPT Professional in the Google form.

One question asks, “At what price (per month) would you consider ChatGPT to be so expensive that you would not consider buying it?” Another question is, at what monthly price would you consider ChatGPT a bargain?

    The financial growth of OpenAI

The mission of OpenAI, a non-profit organization that was founded in 2015, has been to “guarantee that artificial general intelligence (AGI), which exceeds humans at the majority of economically productive tasks, benefits all of humanity.”

The AI startup declared in March 2019 that it was establishing OpenAI LP, a new “capped-profit” business, to enable it to boost its investments in talent and computers while including checks and balances and achieving its objective.

Microsoft partnered with OpenAI a few months later, investing $1 billion. Microsoft may invest $10 billion in OpenAI, the parent firm of ChatGPT, to boost its worth to $29 billion.

Over 1 million people utilize ChatGPT. However, it is unclear if it can continue as a free service. Sama Altman, the CEO, replied to a Twitter user on December 5th that the computing cost is eye-watering.
