SPORTFIVE, a large sports and entertainment company, partnered with Polygon after realizing that blockchain technology could change the way sports are played.
The two businesses have agreed to work together in order to facilitate end-to-end growth strategies for sports rights-holders and brands across a variety of Web3 initiatives. These efforts include the Metaverse, NFTs, DeFi, and DAOs. This includes making an effort to educate, design, build, operate, and market all-encompassing and engaging Web3 experiences. The goal of these efforts is to make it easier for brands and premium rights-holders in the sports and entertainment ecosystems to take advantage of the benefits offered by blockchain technology.
“The Polygon network is one of the most successful technologies that is driving innovation and adoption in the Ethereum universe,” stated Robert Müller von Vultejus, Chief Growth Officer at SPORTFIVE, while speaking about the cooperation. “This is exactly the kind of vision we were looking for in a partner who could bring us the expertise we were seeking in terms of Web3,” said one of the members of the team.
Sportfive manages the strategy, product, and community development for Web3 projects. It can also use Polygon’s global network and partnerships, as well as the company’s expertise in technology and infrastructure, as well as innovative ideas from the ecosystem.

SPORTFIVE partnership will connect Polygon to major sports brands
Polygon’s Enterprise Lead, Antoni Martin, had this to say about SPORTFIVE’s presence in the Web3 space: “SPORTFIVE’s presence in the Web3 space gives Polygon strategic connections to major sports brands and intellectual property, enabling boundless opportunities for unique and powerful collaborations.” With the help of our blockchain technologies, we are excited to accelerate the move of sports brands and rights holders into the Web3 space, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with SportsFIVE in the future.
Over 53,000 decentralized applications (dApps) are already hosted on Polygon, and among them are some of the most well-known names in the Web3 ecosystem, such as Aave, OpenSea, The Sandbox, and Uniswap V3. Polygon’s already carbon-neutral network has become even more sustainable as a result of Ethereum’s recent transition to Proof of Stake, which has resulted in early adopters in the Web3 ecosystem including companies such as Adobe, eBay, Nothing, Reddit, Robinhood, Stripe, and Telefonica. Polygon is a blockchain-based distributed ledger that is powered by the Ethereum blockchain.
“We are very pleased to partner with Polygon to further support the commercial development of our Web3 projects,” said Stefan Felsing, Chief Executive Officer of SPORTFIVE. “This is a great opportunity for both of our companies.” “By working with Polygon, we’ll find new ways to solve the problem at hand and make sure the company keeps going in the right direction.”
