Six tech events to hold in Port Harcourt in 2023

Tech for Good Conference 3.0

Tech for Good (T4G) is a conference that takes place once a year and is hosted by Techrityorg in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Tech for Good aims, according to the people who are organising the event, to shed emphasis on the positive aspects of utilising technology for the advancement of social causes in Africa.

The Autograph Event Centre in Port Harcourt’s GRA Phase 3 at 30 Sani Abacha Road will be the location of the third annual Tech for Good conference, which is scheduled to take place on October 21, 2023.

As it has been in the past, the objective of Tech for Good is to make use of technology in order to solve critical social and environmental issues. Tech for benefit brings together a variety of groups, including students, communities, hubs, businesses, and non-profit organisations, amongst others, in order to examine the real-world applications of technology for social benefit.

Techrity asserts that she made the decision to make the event a paid event in order to guarantee that the conference’s quality is continually being improved. Earlier Tech for Good conferences were provided at no cost to attendees. 

NoCode Fest 23

The city of Port Harcourt plays host to an annual gathering of technology enthusiasts known as NoCodeFEST. Its goal is to bring attention to the graceful simplicity of No Code and Non-Tech.

As the name of the event, “NON-CODE TECH: ACCELERATING GROWTH for Individuals and Businesses,” suggests, attendees in the event will have the opportunity to gain more knowledge about No-Code and non-tech startups.

The guests will learn about the tools and employment opportunities that are accessible at No Code, which is the primary objective of the event. In addition to this, it will provide a place for people who participated in No Code to raise their visibility and will also provide a pitch session for founders.

The NoCode Fest will take place on the 28th of October. 

Borderless 2.0

Borderless 2.0 is a tech event that happens every year and is put on by the Border/ess hub. It provides a community for tech fans, founders, developers, future tech bros, and sisters to learn about and talk about the newest technological advances from around the world. The goal is to encourage young Africans to become tech leaders who can make solutions that work for Africa.

The main thought behind Borderless 2.0 is “becoming solutions.” It will be held at the Aztech Arcum Event Centre in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on November 4, 2023.

The event will be live-streamed on the Crypto Smart social media site, so you can watch it online or in person. Borderless 2.0 will also give you a stage where you can show your tech answer to over than 2,000 people.

Google DevFest Port Harcourt

The biggest Google Developer Group event in Port Harcourt is DevFest Port Harcourt. It invites tens of thousands of developers to spend a whole day learning new skills, sharing their love of Google products, and making connections with other developers who share their interests.

The DevFest Port Harcourt 2023 will take place at Lemaco Halls Gardens, Ada-George Road, Port Harcourt, on November 11, 2023.

Attendees will be amazed by the range of interesting talks, workshops led by well-known experts, networking opportunities, and a party everyone will remember.

DevFest South-South 2023

Every year, Google Developer Groups around the world host DevFest, a decentralised tech gathering. It will be the 12th year of DevFest. DefFest South-South will be held this year at GDG Bonny Island.

DebFest 2023 will be held at Ibanise Hall Bonny, Akiama, on November 18, 2023. It is right next to BVC, Bonny.

Some of the things that will be talked about at the meeting are generative AI, Google Cloud, data analytics, digital marketing, the future of technology, product design, making mobile apps with Android and Flutter, and product management.

TechHerFest 23

TechHerFest wants to honour black women in tech and everyone involved in the movement for gender diversity and inclusion. It also wants to make it easier for partners, women in tech, and her supporters to have conversations and build relationships.

The event, which is set for November 18, 2023, will take place at the Lemaco Event Centre in Port Harcourt.

At the event, there will be hackathons where people can work together to fix real-world problems, show off their amazing ideas to experts and the crowd, and win great prizes.

People who go to the event will also be able to learn from and talk to other people in the community, as well as meet possible mentors, co-founders, and business partners in the tech space.
