A Halloween update: No Man’s Sky presents players with a creepy new ‘The Cursed’

No Man’s Sky is an open-world action-adventure video game centred around exploration and survival. It is an indie game created and published by Hello Games studio and released in August 2016. It was known for its incredible advertisement for the virtues of patience.

The company just dropped a surprise Halloween-themed update, and it’s pretty cool; who does not want a Halloween-themed game?

This update added frightening new creatures, scary voices, and time-shifting phenomena, which were available only for a limited period of time in the form of a ‘haunted’ night theme.

In the last update in 2016, the players experienced a psychological horror setting where things could look real and fake at the same time. The game is centred on spectral enemies and eludes to strange phenomena that put the players in a state of confusion where they cannot differentiate reality from their imagination.

Engadget recommends that The Cursed provides No Man’s Sky with a unique feel and is a cosmic horror addition to the game’s exploration.

Fight challenges with new boss levels and obtain some scares in return

Developed by Hello Games, The Cursed brought the Boundary Herald Starship into action, a flying saucer that players can use to travel across this eerie setting. In contrast to prior gameplay, there is no FTL motion here. The players also travel across the ancient portal system, a tactical element of their spooky journey.

The update adds large-scale boss fights with a few potent enemy varieties to enhance the experience most associated with survival. The features include bioluminescent pets and a new Lovecraftian mode, making the game environment more significant for players to gain a new value.

Engadget’s David Tennant claimed, “This update is a spine-shivering extension to the game’s setting, emphasising the survival horror aspect and the atmosphere that makes us both thrilled and creeped out.” The two-week limited-time event allows players only a narrow chance of exploring this spooky content.

Another rather fresh title, which appeared more than five years ago but is actively updated and still releasing sparkling and fascinating content, is No Man’s Sky, which has undergone more than 35 significant updates.

This update is a clear example of how this game can always change and add new things for its audience to be on the lookout for.

In this case, fans and players of No Man’s Sky who experience playing The Cursed, a Halloween-themed game, will have a good mix of a fun Halloween-filled environment and a game they would not want the night to end.
