In a significant move towards technological advancement, the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) initiated its digitisation drive on May 1st, 2024.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive, Hon Oyetunde Ojo, officiated the ceremony at FHA’s headquarters, marking the beginning of the organisation’s transition towards becoming an entirely digitised entity.
Hon Ojo highlighted the importance of embracing digitalisation to stay competitive and relevant in today’s rapidly evolving world. He emphasised the necessity of modernising internal operations and enhancing service delivery to meet the needs of stakeholders effectively.

“In today’s rapidly evolving world, where technology continues to reshape industries and redefine how we operate, it has become imperative for us to embrace digitalisation to stay competitive, efficient, and relevant,” said Hon Ojo.
Driving Force Behind Federal Housing Authority Digitisation Drive
The Managing Director underscored the commitment of his management team to modernise and streamline FHA’s operations. He expressed dissatisfaction with operating analogously in the 21st century and emphasised adapting to digital technologies to serve stakeholders better.
“Our resolve and commitment to modernise and streamline the Authority’s operations, enhance service delivery, and ultimately serve the Stakeholders better was the driving and motivating force behind us,” Hon Ojo remarked.
Digitisation to Support Ambitious Projects
Hon Ojo outlined FHA’s involvement in ambitious projects such as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on Housing and the Diaspora City initiative. He emphasised the necessity of digitalisation to support the scale and complexity of these projects effectively.
“It has become more pertinent now that FHA is at the forefront of the Housing revolution in the country through President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in Housing… The Authority is also getting set for the take-off of the Diaspora City initiative, meant to help our people living outside the country to have befitting homes back home,” noted Hon Ojo.

Looking ahead, Hon Ojo outlined the organisation’s digitalisation roadmap, which includes automating manual processes, digitising records, implementing advanced analytics, and enhancing cybersecurity measures. He emphasised that these efforts would touch every aspect of FHA’s operations, ushering in a new era of efficiency and accessibility for stakeholders.
The new management of Nigeria’s Federal Housing Authority (FHA) began in February 2024 under the leadership of the Managing Director and Chief Executive, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo. Hon. Ojo, a former Member of the House of Representatives with extensive experience in the housing and hospitality industries, took the helm to reposition the agency in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. This change in leadership aims to revitalise the FHA and enhance its role in delivering affordable housing solutions across Nigeria.
