New Twitter Circle Tool for Selected People

Twitter Circle, a new tool that allows users to choose who can view and engage with their postings on a Tweet-by-Tweet basis, is now available to some users on iOS, Android, and Twitter.com (5 percent of people globally).

Some Tweets are public, while some are only for those you’ve chosen.

When you wish to share with a smaller group, you can use Twitter Circle to add up to 150 people who can see your Tweets.

Some Tweets are for everyone, and some are just for persons you picked,” @TwitterSafety tweeted. When you wish to share with a smaller group, you can use Twitter Circle to add up to 150 people who can see your Tweets.”

People can have more private conversations and form closer bonds with a smaller group of people they choose on Twitter Circle.

What You Can Do With The New Twitter Circle Tool

Following the functionality that will debut on the app, the first 5% of users selected to pilot this new feature can form their own Twitter Circle. Here is how it works with Twitter Circle:

Add people to your Twitter Circle: you can add up to 150 individuals to your Twitter Circle.

Tweet only to them: go ahead, offer your thoughts. Only your Circle has access to them and can respond to them. Change things up whenever you want: want to make changes to your Twitter Circle? Go for it. If you remove them, no one will be notified.

Twitter Circle, in effect, will let people use Twitter on their own terms by allowing them to pick who can see their Tweets. Overall, users are expected to feel more at ease Tweeting and expressing themselves without fear of being harassed.

The Tweets from Twitter Circle will look differently in the timeline, letting other users know they’re part of the group. A Tweet can only be liked, not retweeted.

This is part of Twitter’s commitment to improving the service and achieving more by providing users with greater choice over what they see and how they interact with it.

Elon Musk’s Twitter deal: Will the platform change?

Meanwhile, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, is expected to be the new owner of Twitter, and has offered $44 billion to purchase the social media network.

Musk, a self-described “free-speech absolutist,” has promised new capabilities such as “authenticating all humans,” as he put it in a remark published in a news release announcing the acquisition on Monday.

Although it is unclear how Twitter will evolve, five things are predicted to happen after Musk takes over the microblogging platform.

One of the adjustments Elon Musk has made to Twitter is the addition of the Edit button.

Twitter previously stated that it is working on a feature that will allow users to edit tweets after they have been published.

It had been “the most requested Twitter feature for many years,” according to Jay Sullivan, the company’s vice president of consumer products.

Users would be allowed to update a tweet to correct typos or errors without losing the replies, retweets, or likes it had previously received.
