Claire rejoined Ajua after serving as Director of Customer Experience at Telkom Kenya, where she led initiatives that enhanced customer satisfaction and drove internal innovations, contributing to 30 percent of commercial revenue.
Claire Munene has an impressive track record in reshaping customer experience in Africa’s telecom and tech sectors.
Claire returns home after serving as Vice President of Partnerships, COO, and Head of Growth and Strategy at Ajua from 2015 to 2020.

In her previous role at Ajua, she saw 400 percent revenue growth in East, West, and Caribbean countries while directing key collaborations, including Safaricom’s SPARK Venture Fund.
Her early work at Safaricom included launching revenue-driving Okoa Jahazi and Africa’s first cash economy platform, Consumer Wallet. She also founded the Safaricom Academy, a regional IT talent and entrepreneurial incubator.
Her return signals a strategic push by Ajua to deepen its impact on African enterprises through data-driven CX strategies.
